Graduation 2015

Graduation

In July 2015 we celebrated as another group of learners successfully completed their bespoke learning programmes at Transition 2.

Family, carers, friends and colleagues who have all supported the young people on their learning journeys joined in the celebration of their achievements at the beautiful Marriott Breadsall Priory Hotel.

Graduation

The graduating learners arrived by limousine and were greeted by guests showering them in bubbles.

Six learners left us this summer, moving onto exciting opportunities including voluntary work, further study and busy diaries with plans to continue the friendships they have built with each other over the past two years.

During the ceremony, learners shared with us some of their highlights, each having prepared a speech.

Guests enjoyed the end of year film as well as a presentation to thank Phil Harrison, Executive Head Teacher from St Andrew’s School, who has now moved onto his role as an HMI at Ofsted.

Janine Cherrington, Head of Service shared a thought provoking presentation about the differences between being special and being ordinary and gave everyone a packet of forget me not seeds.

After the formal ceremony guests continued the celebrations with a glass of bubbly and a piece of cake!

We wish everyone lots of luck and happiness as they now move onto the next exciting stage of their lives as young adults.
