GoodGym

GoodGym is a running club with a difference – the runners meet up at a base, run to and carry out a volunteering task within the local community and then run back!  A brilliant way to get fit and do something good.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to work with this energetic and enthusiastic group last week.  A team of 13 runners/volunteers ran from the Jury’s Inn to Transition2 to complete a garden maintenance project at the College.  They cut back vegetation, dug out weeds and moss and cleared the pathway of leaves, showing what is possible in a very short space of time when everyone works together.  They transformed the path around the grounds, making it more accessible and safe for our learners.

Thank you to the GoodGym team for the unbelievable transformation!  We can’t wait for our next running and volunteering task together!
