Transition Event
Our annual Transition Event, showcasing local opportunities for disabled young people, took place on the 27th November 2018.
This year, Matthew took on the role of meeter and greeter for the first time. After a little practise with Alex and Naomi, his confidence grew. His smart appearance and impeccable manners made him the perfect person to welcome our visitors.
Rachel and Paige did a wonderful job talking to families about their experiences of transition. They confidently spoke about what they have learnt and enjoyed at Transition 2 and what they hope to do in the future.
Jess and Grace also shared their learning journeys with visitors, including their favourite photos and the achievements they are most proud of. They were both nervous and excited before the event and felt very proud of themselves afterwards.
Thank you to all the local providers of education, health, Social Care and activities who attended the event.
It was inspiring to hear about all the amazing opportunities that are available to young people.
