Graduation 2021

We held our annual Graduation event at Transiton2 this week. Due to last year’s lockdown, this year we celebrated the achievements of not only the graduates of 2021 but also the graduates of 2020. It was wonderful to share memories of their learning journeys and to congratulate them on the completion of their programmes at T2.

During the event, we also celebrated the achievements of our continuing learners, who will return in September for their final year. We were delighted to see so many first years at the ceremony, who cheered and clapped for their friends who were leaving.

We marked the sad passing of our learner Ellie Morgan, who died in January 2020, with the announcement and inaugural presentation of ‘The Ellie Morgan Award for Independence’, sponsored by Ellie’s Mum, Marion. This award will be presented annually for outstanding achievements in independence, to honour the life and aspirations of Ellie. The winner of this year’s award was Thomas Nadin, who has made remarkable progress in his independent travel and vocational skills this year, securing himself a paid job to which he travels independently. Congratulations Thomas and best of luck for the future!

Here are some photos from the day; you can also check out some of our special memories from the year on the Videos section of our website.
