Snowdon Challenge
Putting their stamina, teamwork and resilience to the test, Transition2 learners and staff will complete a hike up and down Mount Snowdon on 4th July 2024, raising valuable funds for The Air Ambulance Service. How exciting!
In recent weeks, the team have been busy choosing and buying essential kit, and putting it to good use by pounding the footpaths around Derby and Derbyshire in preparation for their trek up and down Snowdon.
Furthermore, the challenge has presented all with a wonderful opportunity to see learners improve their understanding of British Values. Their recent demonstration of democracy in action (choosing different charities) has seen the Snowdon Challenge voting open and close; ballot papers have been counted, and, drum roll please, … the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance is formally declared as the team charity of choice!
We’re really pleased to be able to share the online fundraising link with the wider world. Fundraising is now very much OPEN so please feel free to support this challenge, and wonderful charity, by taking a look at the link below.
