Supported Internships
A full-time workplace study programme for young people aged 18-24 years with SEND, combining ‘on-the-job’ training and coaching to gain the skills needed to transition into sustainable, paid employment. In addition to a focus on employment, the programme also includes aspects of nationally recognised Preparing for Adulthood themes of Independent Living, Community Inclusion, and Health.

What Is It?
A full-time (three days a week), work placement-based study programme incorporating:
- Work placements within a variety of employment settings such as warehousing, hospitality and catering, admin, heritage/culture and more
- Job Coaching and Mentoring, including work-related training and performance reviews
- Support to attain sustainable part-time / full-time paid employment opportunities
- Enriched Independent Travel Training, including support to access local amenities, work and opportunities to socialise with friends
- Workplace performance reviews with Job Coaches and mentors
