Fun Run for Brain Tumour Research

On Sunday 9th April learners, parents, carers and Transition 2 staff took part in the Sporting Futures 3k fun run.

Learners had been preparing for the event through a weekly running club; to read more about the goals they had been working towards click here.

The event was fantastic as the sun was shining and families and friends joined the crowds of supporters along the route to cheer us on!

Everyone who took part managed to finish the race without any difficulties and learners proudly received their medals when they crossed the finish line.

We have been overwhelmed by everyone’s support, with £1,312 in sponsorship raised through the event for Brain Tumour Research.  Thank you so much to everyone who donated; the money will go towards funding sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours.
